This is a thorough and well-written examination of an industry that's dying and needs to die. It's based on the same outdated concepts that allowed The Elephant Man and "native" displays at carnivals, married to the socially-detrimental features of casinos.

I've lived near an active dog track in Florida that ran races because it was legally required at the time but made money only from slots. I also worked on a mobile gatcha game from a slot machine company and we know casinos will cozy up to nearly anything and everything. I had no idea that a huge chunk of the current wagering on dogs is happening on mobile apps through clearinghouses in Oregon and North Dakota.
