Built for anyone who’s had the pleasure of experiencing US visa process.

I'm sharing a solo project I've been working on called DS160.io. It's a tool for people applying for US visas who are tired of the broken experience on the official site. I originally built it for myself and a few expat friends. I've had to fill this form out six times over the last eight years so I am all to familiar with the broken process that is US immigration. I change jobs roughly every 1 to 2 years, and each time was just as frustrating as the last.

There are three main problems this is designed to solve or bypass:

1. Getting around the constant timeouts on the official DS-160 site. Especially in the travel and work history sections, the form can time out randomly and lose your progress. With Form Pilot, every response is saved as you go. If the site crashes or expires, you can simply reload and resubmit no captchas, no data loss.

2. Reusing previous applications to avoid retyping hundreds of answers. A typical DS-160 has 230 to 500 fields, most of which don't change. Form Pilot lets you duplicate a past submission and just update the new work history and travel. You can complete a new DS-160 in under 5 minutes this way, and the tool will fill it out in under a minute.

3. Making it easier to complete DS-160s for dependents. If you're applying as a family, you can clone an existing DS-160 and adjust only the relevant details for each dependent, no need to start from scratch for every person.

Would love to get some feedback.
