This is not my understanding, it’s more like adding certain kinds of basic apps to the App Store. Great! But at some point if it’s essential enough Apple will just create their own app and put you out of business.
This isn’t a case of like not seeing the future and thinking AI is dumb. This is a case where the vision of AI is that the AI becomes powerful enough that the custom workflows and UI don’t matter. Now maybe that future doesn’t come into existence? But if you’re just wrapping ChatGPT, there’s a real risk to your business model on every new model release.
