Has anyone else messed with any of this stuff? I dug into a bunch of Dwave's code the other weekend and the conclusion I came to is that even a theoretical fully connected machine that would be impractical to construct could only be marginally useful in a couple of niche applications. People keep talking about using quantum for ML but annealing is only useful for stuff that can be mapped to QUBO (IE Boltzmann machines.) The lack of generalization means no attention so even if you got better time complexity it would be a wash.
