I'm not saying this won't be true, in the sense that people will place as much trust in the product as they do in their own mother or the effects of gravity, only that it'll be horribly misplaced. Your innermost thoughts and behaviors will be on sale to criminals, and you'll be nudged in whatever direction the managers of the product see fit.

One interesting case of this is Neuro and Vedal on Twitch. People are developing a parasocial relationship with an artificial personality. It's really exciting to see her become more capable as Vedal adds more hardware and software. It reminds me of a really high tech puppet show.
