The Dia browser is a big bet on the web – and an even bigger bet on AI

> “I just couldn’t ignore the data that said there was too much novelty for people to try it.” Arc data showed that once people got it, they were hooked, but most people never got it.

I've never had any way of knowing whether or not Arc was worth trying. When they launched, their website said nothing of substance about the browser, and I wasn't allowed to try it out, so I moved on and forgot all about it.

I still have no idea whether or not it's any good, but admittedly, I've also lost the idle interest I had in the beginning.

Tried it out. Zero interest in what they offer. Incredible that Arc had to die for this

When you ask Dia to find you a coat, the assistant might activate a shopping skill, which knows all the stuff you’ve been looking at from Amazon and Anthropologie; when you ask it to draft an email, a writing skill can see both all the emails you’ve written and the authors you love reading.

I am quite cpapable of doing all those things without any help.

shopping skill. Maybe you can do an apprenticeship or a masters degree for that.

draft an email. hopefully my school taught me how to wead and rite properly.

I dont want anything snooping on my browsing habits and private emails so that it can make money from me.

Will I use it? I think not!

will I find it useful. absolutely not!

I feel like swearing when I read this utter BS.

I am quite capable of washing my clothes by hand. Washing my dishes by hand. Creating presentations with a marker and large sheet of paper. Sometimes we like to get help with things we are perfectly capable of doing ourselves so we can spend our time on other things.
