Hi! My name is Raghav, and I love developing tech projects and finding free food. I found that both high schools and colleges have tons of cool clubs and organizations that host events that serve food, but simply fail to reach enough of an audience due to not having a dedicated platform to publicize. By developing a platform that allows clubs to create events, and for students to find events, events and meeting can achieve wider audiences, all while inviting people with the prospect of food.
This project utilizes MapBox-gl, a React.js front-end, and a firebase database to enable the functionality.
I would truly appreciate your support in my development journey by upvoting my work and providing me with insightful comments on how to take this project to the next level. This project has been created for Hack Club's shipwrecked.
Thank you!

I think that the best way for this to actually increase the attendance of events would be through push notifications, since people are unlikely to just linger around on the site. Also, allowing people to search for or create new campuses would make the progress ready to deploy.

This is a novel concept for a website. It targets an overlooked audience, the hungry student.

If this website is more user friendly on the phone (mapbox api not comfortable to use), it could be a game changer.

Good luck bro! I can totally see me using this when I’m back in college after summer. Wish it had my school though. Any way you can use a large database of schools and you can search by name or zip code or something for other schools?
