The new little valley of pixels surrounding toolbars in screenshots reminds me of the original pop-out drawers on the first versions of OS X -for example https://ibb.co/5hJvyTYv
Maybe in person it works well, but I'm already crowded for space on my Mac display and don't want to give up a ring of pixels around my toolbars. I'd also like the toolbar not to cover my content.

Yeah this whole design reminds me of the candy look of Mac OS X 10.1 through 10.3

Glass is just flat Aqua without the style. Instead of a breath of fresh air, they are repeating the mistakes of dull and boring for the office that was mac os9 and under. Aqua was the break-away hit that defined Mac. Glass is like they want to make it nice, but management won't let them. Rehash of past glory.
