Not just Asians. This has been happening across a range of racial lines because of the absolute madness of DEI. We've had this happen in our family, and we are not Asian.
The only force that propels humanity forward is effort and merit based access to opportunities. Not some artificially forced mechanism that penalizes those who are dedicated, work hard and are capable in favor of those who likely need more time and effort to reach a competitive baseline. This does not mean they cannot get there. They can.
That's the failure here. A system needs to be in place to ensure good outcomes for anyone and everyone who is willing to put in the time and effort, color and racially blind.
This goes to the core of what the educational system has become in the US. A bigoted, racist, union-driven, politically-driven system that graduates kids from high school how cannot read, write or do math, much less qualify to enter universities. Sorry to put it in harsh terms: We graduate idiots who cannot add value to any organization, much less honestly qualify for academic advancement right out of school.
And so, in an equally twisted and demented way, we shove them into university, despite their failings. This results in more failures, with people not being able to graduate, quitting and ending-up with loans to pay and no educations or failure after graduation because they simply cannot compete with those who were far more prepared coming into university.
Even worse, companies resort to hiring people from other countries because we are handing out degrees to people who cannot possibly compete with more capable candidates educated elsewhere.
The US government guarantees massive loans to 18 year old kids who are sold by universities on bullshit degrees that will NEVER allow them to pay off the hundreds of thousands of dollars they will owe. This is disgusting. It is, as far as I am concerned, criminal.
Sorry to get political on this, but I feel it is about time people wake up and start making better voting decisions. The Left in the US has become a putrid force for destruction.
Nearly everything they have done and gotten behind in the last, say, twenty+ years, has been destructive to our society. Our K-12 schools and universities are focused on indoctrination and DEI rather than education and producing WORLD CLASS COMPETITIVE graduates that will succeed on merit anywhere on earth.
This might not be apparent to those who never travel outside the US and engage with other cultures. The average US high school graduate is --sorry-- a fucking idiot when compared to high school graduates from dozens of other countries. When you travel, engage with other cultures and see this in person it is hard to reach a conclusion other than: Our system of education needs to be ripped-up and completely redone to base it on merit and effort and remove all the nonsense that makes us the bottom of the barrel.
Want to fix this problem? Start voting for common sense and laugh the ideological idiots off the stage; they are hurting everyone. If you have kids, you better rethink your world view, because they are not going to be able to compete with those lucky enough to come from good merit-based education systems.
