Hello!

I built opensports.ai, a lightweight web app that lets you explore cricket stats (and soon other sports) using natural language. Just type something like:

“Kohli’s performance in overs 11–15 at Chinnaswamy”

“Top 10 IPL players with 600+ runs in a season”

“Dhoni vs left-arm spinners in IPL death overs since 2018”

It uses a fine-tuned LLM to convert your query into SQL and generate a table or plot. The data comes from detailed ball-by-ball match info and updates weekly.

This started as a fun scrappy weekend project and has grown into something usable. Still a bit rough in parts, but it’s been super rewarding to build as a cricket + AI nerd
