Just wanted to celebrate a win and make a confession. After years of building behind the scenes, i finally released a public product. It's called ChatCloser, a sales-focused AI assistant that lives on your site, qualifying leads, booking appointments, and helping turn visitors into customers.

Really cool right? Well I have some advice for other technical founders: Just talk to people first. I heard this advice over and over again. I'd usually give a logical nod and think "sure makes sense" but it never really sank in.

While it's far from fatal, I spent a lot of time differentiating my SaaS with features: A helpful mini platform and CRM, sales handoffs, AI summaries, Calendly Booking and on and on. I did this before asking anything anyone because I'm a dev and we all have this disease where we would rather build the starship enterprise for us rather than talk to Jeff who works in the niche your building for. So I just wanted to say I'm guilty of the sin of building before asking, and now I'm finding that a lot of my time was wasted on features people won't need.

So if I can save anyone some time...just ask 5 people in a niche that you want to sell to what they need, and build from there. You don't need to show them anything fancy.

But importantly...don't let your mistakes get you down, be quick to learn and push forward without falling into self doubt
