Wait did the previous Threadrippers not have full AVX-512 support? I thought that Zen 4 implemented AVX-512, but I can't find anything about which specific instruction sets the two architectures implement. Apparently the extra support is supposed to be ~22% better (according to article), but I feel like that is just a result of the 100-300 MHz clock speed increase.
