Feedback on a "Financial Trends Feed" for Early Money-Making Opportunities

Hi HN,

I'm working on a web app that curates emerging financial trends — the kinds of opportunities that often go viral after it's too late to benefit.

The app shows users a real-time feed of what’s currently making people money on the internet — from early crypto projects, new stocks, viral products, online side hustles, and services. Think of it as a "financial FYP" (For You Page).

Imagine if something had told you about:

Bitcoin when it was <$100

ChatGPT’s release or rising OpenAI interest before the hype

Dropshipping niches that suddenly blew up

High-paying freelance trends (e.g. AI prompt engineering)

The idea is to curate these signals from across the web, using a mix of scraping, API data, social signals (Reddit, Twitter/X, TikTok), and possibly crowdsourced submissions — and deliver them in an easy-to-digest feed.

I’m not building an investment platform or financial advisor — just a discovery tool to help people stay ahead of internet trends that pay.

My questions:

Do you think this is a real need/problem?

Would you personally use a tool like this?

What would you want to see in a feed like this?

Any ideas on how to make it trustworthy and avoid scammy content?

Thanks in advance — I'm still early, and your feedback would mean a lot!
