I’m I am initially put off by this “academic feminism” thing. Of all things I know about feminism and how it is approached in academia it is this, there are a LOT of different views of feminism in academia, many conflicting, some saying similar things to this article.
Maybe I misunderstand what the author means by that…
Anyway one thing I do find is how much litmus testing goes on with feminism, similar to this article. Someone’s act (saving eggs or etc) may seem like feminism to them, and others may not. That’s just different people and life, not right and wrong feminism.

Generally a good take. I think it misses the mark. Gender itself, if it is a social construct, we must ask of ourselves what construction that is. It is one of bondage. Boys do this, girls do that, boys don't do x, girls don't do y.
It's all Bullshit.
Gender, like religion, is just another method of societal control... We shouldn't structure society in such a way. It's a two sided coin (with lots of ridges/facets in between).
