Ask HN: A reverse hackathon( tell us what you want built)?

After posting a thread last week asking about if anyone else gave up on trying to get rich, I got a very insightful reply.

It was essentially "Figure out what people want, and line up clients before writing a line of code".

So how about this. Organize a competition to just pitch ideas based off a realistic business need. The winner gets to have a dev team implement a POC of the idea.

The only requirement to participate is you need to at least commit to providing feedback for the final POC.

Optimistically by trying out the POC for a few days.

I'm thinking the next thing will be guardrails for vibe coders. If it's a gold rush sell shovels

Meta: build a problem bank where people can submit and persist these. Reverse product hunt, maybe with StackOverflow type UX.

Have a problem, leave a problem, need a problem, take a problem. Failed? Bring your post mortem, add it to the library and start a discussion thread. Succeed? Congrats! We love that for you, also start a thread to discuss what worked, what didn’t, and why.

Consider "Problematica" if you have no name yet.
