This analogy goes clunk. Boeing was run into the ground by colorless feeble management. Who knows what would've happened if they had a raccoon on meth in the CEO position?

It's certainly true that Tesla is suffering from its CEO's reputation, but I can't think of two more different companies, and their fall from grace was due to very different causes.

My understanding of Boeing is it started with pushing cost cutting and such efforts from the top down without any engineering / real understanding about how things work and that created room for some serious failures.
It seems plausible to argue that Tesla's efforts have been misaligned as far as the truck goes, abandoning making their vehicles more affordable and so on ... but I agree that I'm not sure that is the same as Boeing exactly.

So intertwined with the US government that it becomes too big to fail? Sounds like the billionaire class’ wet dream.
