Hey HN

I built aye.so – a tiny web tool that lets you send digital letters to anyone via email... but with a twist: the letter is delivered after 10 hours.

Why? I wanted to recreate the feeling of anticipation and emotional suspense that physical letters once brought. Instant messages are convenient, but sometimes the delay makes the message feel more special.

How it works: You write a letter and enter the recipient's email

They receive a message saying: “You’ve got a letter. It’ll arrive in 10 hours.”

After the wait, they get a second email with a link to view the letter

No signups required. Free to use.

Small touches: Letters come with cute “emotional stamps” (e.g. Love, Regret, Confession, Oops, Celebration)

There’s a status tracker with playful stages like “Sealed,” “In the clouds,” “Almost there,” etc.

Built with privacy in mind: no tracking, no inbox snooping, no read receipts.

I’d love your feedback. I’m thinking of adding scheduling, themes, and public message walls next.

Thanks for checking it out!
