The action being called anti-american is EU members' reluctance to use Starlink.

It seems reasonable to not transit your data across a foreign network with deep political ties.

That is entirely reasonable, particularly since the power to deny access to Starlink has already been used in a way that makes it clear that nobody should be relying on Starlink for anything critical.

It's also entirely reasonable to avoid being exposed to anything that Musk is involved with, regardless of international politics and regardless of whether you're a nation or an individual.
