Frontend focused developer with strong design sense looking for IC roles. Recently stepped down from running a digital agency (8 years, grew from 2 cofounders to 17 people) to focus on what I love most: hands-on development. React/TypeScript focused, comfortable with full-stack when needed. Remote work experience since 2017.
Been coding professionally since the https://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/ days. UI/UX focused, the developer who can implement designs pixel-perfect and make good visual decisions when specs are unclear. Business background brings valuable product sense and user empathy to technical decisions. Deep analytics experience: implemented and configured multiple tools (GA, GTM, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, etc.), built custom dashboards, component libraries, and interpreted data to guide product decisions.
Interested in: product companies, startups, founding engineering roles, analytics/data visualization projects. Open to contract or full-time.

I am a software engineer with over 6 years of experience building web applications.
Since my first website at 10 on GeoCities, I've gone on to work on Minecraft custom servers, MMORPGs, web application used by millions, and led volunteer teams to deliver IT services powering a homeless shelter network every Christmas.
I enjoy being "the glue" to IT projects, working across disciplines to ensure they get delivered on time, meet budget and satisfy users. I specialise in modernising legacy applications using modern technologies and frameworks, and have created greenfield applications from scratch.
I prefer full-stack development on the web but can also specialise into backend / frontend and other disciplines as needed.
I am open to both full-time and contract engagements.
I don't particularly enjoy coasting or clocking out at 5pm (mostly since I'm a night owl), so I'm looking for opportunities where I can move fast, build, ship fast, contribute the most value, and grow. If my skills and experience seem like a good fit for your needs, please reach out!

I love to design and build digital and physical things! SWE with 15 years experience solving business problems across a variety of industries. I have designed and built distributed sytems, backends, web, native and mobile applications, simulations, and internal/external tools. I speak devops, am fluent in many computer languages, and gosh darnit you'll be happy to see me.
I transform complex systems into experiences users want to use, and bring 10 years of indie puzzle gaming insights to both gaming and non-gaming software:
* Design onboarding where users learn by doing, revealing features as users are ready
* Create products people use because they want to, not have to; make the 100th use as rewarding as the first
* Build "aha!" experiences into routine workflows, and crafting features worth showing off (no forced virality)
Track record of making complex systems intuitive: SpicyNodes (40M users), time.gov (2M monthly), medical AI for 1.5M patients. PI on $295K NSF SBIR. Led diverse teams up to 40 people - engineers, designers, artists, writers, operations - plus managed 200+ contractors. I excel at uniting creative and technical talent.
Seeking: VP Product or Head of Product at companies building AI products, knowledge tools, or creative applications. I architect systems and lead teams that ship products people love.
Willing to relocate: probably not, but I won't rule it out entirely either

I'm a generalist with a background in full stack development, release engineering, and systems administration. I can do pointer arithmetic but I can also set up a DNS server or — in a pinch — configure Webpack from scratch.
US and Mexican passport holder; willing and able to travel. Based in central Mexico, I have good timezone overlap from Buenos Aires to Seattle, and I'm used to keeping early hours to sync with teams in Europe as well.
A native English speaker with C1-ish Spanish, I often act as a liaison between international teams and our Mexican office.
At my current job I've thrived when assigned to work on large, legacy projects — which I've ended up leading more than once.
I like documenting (yes, really) and mentoring and putting out fires.

I'm looking for a senior full stack or senior backend role. I was unable to work following issues during the pandemic, which are now resolved, but I'm rarely getting to talk with anyone to be considered for interviews; AI rejects my CV outright. I'm stuck in an algorithmic prison.
Despite the length of break, my knowledge is current. If you need convincing of that, I recently got through the whole interview process at Moneybox for a senior backend role, which is pretty much the only interview I've had. Although they hired someone else, they spent a week trying to allocate extra budget to hire me. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and so here I am.
If you aren't hiring, but know someone who is, I'd appreciate you sharing my details with them. I can start straight away. If anyone has any advice to help break out of the AI auto rejections, I'd also appreciate it if you'd contact me via email. Thanks for reading.
Have done & can do full-stack work (helped current company grow from three engineers and through acquisition) but lean towards backend/infrastructure in expertise. Currently platform technical lead (IC).
MEng EE & CS blend. (No professional EE experience, but somewhat maintained as a hobby.) 8y post-intern experience in web software.
Looking for something new to sink my teeth into in an organisation with room to grow. Remote opportunities only please, and that I'm eligible for residing in the UK & as a British citizen, though I'm perfectly willing to travel for particular events/big meetings. Cheers!
Looking for a staff backend/full stack role where I can build impactful systems and elevate developer experience.

Need a consultant, strategic thinking, architecture or related tech advice, coaching/ mentoring for you or your team? Need governance improvement?
How could we work together? An hour, a couple of hours or something more regular but flexible/fractional? I am looking for part hours, or retainers, or work toward fully moving into a consulting / advisory capacity
Let’s figure out how to work together.
I have 20+ years solving business problems and maximising opportunities through technology in a variety of industries internationally.
My core skills are in strategy, enterprise architecture, technology architecture, consulting and advice, agile, team leadership, coaching and mentoring. Can do operating model work.
I am currently a Principal Architect. I operate in strategic advisory and technology architecture with many years in architecture and technology in the private and public sector. Background: Masters in control theory and signal processing, working in the auto industry for the last 7 years, first on low level powertrain software then the last year or so on LIDAR/computer vision for autonomous vehicles. I've done the most work in C, but I'm now contributing to safety development work with the Rust consortium and Ferrous Systems through my current employer. Recently had to read the Linux kernel source and use the BCC tool suite to find a subtle issue in the network stack causing high latency on sensor data for AV, also coincidentally fixed most of the network timing infrastructure.
Currently doing software defined vehicle software architecture with a focus on fail-safe and fail-operational, loosely coupled, distributed systems. This includes some standards contributions and work with high level suppliers like Nvidia and Renesas for next-generation software/hardware system co-development.
Primary skills include hard real time embedded systems, safety critical applications, firmware development, system integration and complex hardware/software interaction debugging, along with detailed data analysis problems.
Side interests include machining, 3D printing, embedded system development, coffee roasting and furniture making.
I'm a data scientist and I look for hard problems to solve. Hair on fire "This is causing lemon-law recalls and we can't solve it." type problems - I've done a few of those. I have 15+ years experience helping companies plan, prototype, and productionize sane data science solutions.
I love avant garde problems, and have a pretty unique skillset. I've worked with names you know in automotive, aviation, tech, and other spaces. Recently I've been working with Oil & Gas - Production estimates, pricing, failure analysis, and other interesting things.
I've worked on projects including LLMs, knowledge extraction, automotive part failure prediction, vehicle route planning in constrained environments, translation, maintenance optimization, automated sports highlights, maritime piracy, and more.

Roles: Data platform, data engineer, some data science, some backend, a little full-stack, a little ML engineering.
Other skills: writing, math.
Full/part/contract: Open to full-time, part-time, or contract.
About me: I have five years' total industry experience across various data-team roles, most recently as a tech lead of a small Data Platform Engineering team. I've been out of the industry for a few years, but am now interested in working again. Lately I've been putting out feelers for jobs, getting up to speed on the AI-equipped vibecoding era, and putting some projects on Github so I have a public portfolio (link on my profile).
I would be most interested in working at a smaller company (<500, and ideally <100) on a data platform/engineering/pipelines team, where my current expertise can be immediately useful. But I'd also be open to backend or full-stack roles, with a data emphasis, especially on data-intensive products.

Staff Platform Engineer with 14+ years in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure. I design scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient platforms for data and compute workloads. At Rialtic I built a Go-based pipeline that processed millions of records daily (10× throughput gain) and engineered distributed batch systems on EKS. Before that I founded Shipmile, grew it to a 25-member team and $2M ARR, and built an event-driven backend handling 50k+ daily shipments. Earlier roles include Morgan Stanley (low-latency search over 1TB dataset at <5ms p99) and Meditab (leading a web-stack migration).
Side projects include Conv-SNN in Rust (96.7% accuracy, 2× efficiency vs ANN), a profitable RL-based trading engine, and a CUDA Bitcoin finder achieving 285× speedup. I enjoy building efficient distributed systems, performance profiling, and high-throughput data pipelines. Open to Staff+ roles at startups or scale-ups where infrastructure and system design are critical.
Drop me a line; I'd love to help build or untangle interesting stuff!

I'm a Product Engineer and a creative based in London. I’ve built full-stack applications across web, mobile, blockchain and embedded platforms. My client-side work includes React, Electron, Roku’s Scenegraph, and native iOS development with Swift and SwiftUI, always with a strong focus on UX and design-first thinking. On the service-side, I’ve worked with traditional service hosting, containers, and serverless, including (but not limited to) AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, Workers, CloudFormation, SAM CLI, nodejs, bunjs, MySQL, Postgres, NoSQL, grpc, Redis, Docker, nginx, and a few legacy tools best left unnamed (yes, including CodeIgniter and ftp).
I’ve also developed developer tools like CLIs and SDKs, primarily JavaScript land, and have written code in systems languages such as Rust and Zig.
In the AI space, I’ve integrated models via the OpenAI SDK, leveraged prompts, LLMs, and explored LangChain/LangGraph.
I care about clean code, great UX, developer experience, documentation (yes), rapid iteration and automating workflows with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Bash scripts, etc).

Starting September 1st, I’m freeing up time for select freelance work & collaboration on Apple Vision Pro and other XR platforms. From helping build the visionOS platform back in 2016 to publishing several immersive apps, I bring hands-on expertise across the stack — from concept to launch.
Available for:
- Early concept & rapid prototyping
- 3D interaction design, environments and visual effects
- End-to-end native app development (No Unity)
- Strategic, product & technical review
Though I usually work solo, I'm also part of a broader collective of people consisting of XR devs & 3D artists that can help scale for more ambitious projects.
Masters degree in Computer Science (TU Munich, ETH Zürich).
Very eager to achieve great outcomes. Thoroughly enjoy both C# and Flutter development. Really pleasant to work with.
My specialty: Strong versatility, very fast to enter unfamiliar territory. Covering my colleagues' back across a variety of codebases besides my strong suits, incl. Go and Svelte projects.
Actual feedback from my current boss about my first work-week: "You have been brutally productive."
Excited to hear from you!
I'm a full stack software developer with 10+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and Javascript. I’ve worked across the spectrum: early startups, high-growth scale ups, and most recently, a large corporate product with a huge Rails monolith and even bigger DB. On the FE side I've worked with a range of libs and frameworks, starting with raw JS a long time ago all the way to Svelte.js more recently.
Have a look at my LI and if you think you're building something where I could help, let me know!
PS: I’d be also very interested in exploring the Go ecosystem, ideally finding a company that uses both Ruby&Go or that'd be willing to bring a pragmatic Rubyist into a Go environment. I’ve always picked up tech quickly and I’m excited to expand my skills.

Founding Engineer for hire — I specialize in building AI SaaS from scratch.
I have ~20 years of experience and have been a founding engineer or senior engineer at multiple US startups:
- Edge Delta (observability): built an AI chatbot to manipulate the visual pipeline builder
- Runy (real estate): AI-driven property management platform
- Braid Health (AI radiology): integrated AI outputs into clinician-facing tools
- Toolio (retail SaaS), SellerCrowd (adtech marketplace)
I take products from 0→1: fast MVPs, production-ready SaaS, and AI-powered features that real users rely on. Open to early-stage full-time roles, fractional CTO, or contract positions.
I am most interested in a director or project manager position, or as a software architect. I also prefer Apple tech but am open to other opportunities.

Role: Staff+ Engineer, Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or Co-founder
I'm a serial builder who thrives in the space between engineering and business. Over the last 10 years I've:
- Designed autonomous driving tech (Mercedes)
- Built threat detection systems + data platforms (Proofpoint)
- Led AI teams tackling real-world problems in support + finance (Velocity Global)
Pattern: I like taking hard technical problems, translating them into real-world value, and iterating fast with whoever's in the room — ops, finance, legal, you name it. I'm most useful where "that's not how we do things" isn't the end of the conversation.

Hi, I'm Mike; I've been a backend polyglot SDE / sometimes SRE / sometimes engineering manager with around twenty five years of experience in total. I'm a pretty flexible guy; whether it's code, systems, or people I try hard to be a useful mammal. Some of the places I've worked that you might recognize: Yahoo, Oracle (at their AWS competitor), the New York Times. I've also worked at a fair number of startups and mid-size companies over the years, and spent time acting as a consultant. tl;dr for why I'm on the market is that upper management at my last employer decided to let international remote employees go (I'm a US citizen in the UK on a spousal visa; I have full right to work for both US and UK employers without undue paperwork/visa hassles on their end).
What I'm looking for: I'm happy to dive in either as a senior individual contributor or as an engineering manager. I have no strong preferences on org size; having worked at both ends of the spectrum they each have their benefits. I'm flexible on industry too (I might have to think hard about defense). I can work US compatible hours as well as UK ones. I am not a zealot about any particular technology stack or engineering process but in an ideal world I think I'd be happiest working in something like Java or Kotlin in a linux environment building things like APIs, data pipelines, etc. or leading a team doing the same. I'm open to consulting but all things considered a full-time role is more what I'm looking for at present.
Thank you for reading, and good luck to all searching for a job or a new hire! :)

Hi, I'm Michael Geary. I've programmed in many languages and environments over the years. Some of my current interests are:
• Aviation and geographic data. For example, airspace and obstacle data importers for Wing; election results and voter information maps for Google; many interactive maps for other companies.
• Hardware interfacing. In a way, I am a "full stack" developer, but my stack may involve a front end to a piece of hardware rather than the cloud. I first got into programming via ham radio, so RF hardware remains an interest.
• Designing and building APIs. Too often an API is designed by exposing the internals of whatever system provides the API. My philosophy is the opposite: start with the apps. I like to build a series of sample apps before starting on the API. This way I can imagine what API will make those apps and others like them easy to build.
• Talk with users! I don't like to sit in a back room cranking out code. I want to make sure it's the right code for what my users need, and that it's easy to maintain and improve as we learn more about what they want.
Open to full time or contract.
I look forward to talking with you!

Hello, my name is Jesse.
I'd describe myself as a competent generalist and a lifelong learner. I'm frequently working on something I've never done before.
My most recent professional experience has been about a year at a semiconductor startup where I wrote prototypes for a compiler and a cycle simulator.
One of my personal projects of ~10 years is a 3D game engine. Working on it has taught me a great deal about systems and graphics programming. It runs on Windows, Linux and Web (WASM/WebGL). I chose to build it without any libraries (barring the CRT for startup), which began as a learning exercise, but has taught me the value of simplicity.
I've also been working on a metaprogramming system for C & CPP. Think templates/constexpr, but significantly more ergonomic. It turns out I have a small passion for compilers. It currently generates many tens of thousands of lines of code for my game engine project including containers and an interactive realtime data visualization/editor.
On the optimization side of things, I recently wrote the world's fastest open-source AVX2 Perlin noise implementation, and wrote about the process on my blog. I beat the state-of-the-art by ~1.8x, which took me about two weeks.
That's the cliff-notes on my technical background. As a person I'm friendly and easy to get along with. I like the phrase "have strong opinions, weakly held". Outside of work I enjoy surfing, backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, rock-climbing and beer!
Cheers, Jesse

Ex-Google & ex-Booking.com engineer with 15+ years building scalable web services, data pipelines, and internet infrastructure.
Highlights: – Built and maintained high-performance data processing pipelines handling *illions of datapoints. – Optimized latency & throughput in large-scale web services. – Engineered advanced online map services and resilient DNS/TLS systems. – Known for reducing complexity, improving reliability, and delivering measurable impact in production environments.
Looking for a senior/principal engineering role where I can own impactful systems, ideally in backend/data infrastructure, internet infrastructure or applied internet services. Prefer smaller to mid-sized companies (not mega-corps) with competitive Swiss-level or US-remote compensation.
Comfortable with async/global collaboration, strong communicator across engineering and product, and motivated by solving hard problems with real users in mind.
Outside of work, I’m a self taught developer and I’ve spent ~10 years programming, contributing to open source and running a homelab: building Go/Python backends, writing proxies and CLIs, and maintaining Linux/Windows servers, containers (docker, kubernetes), and virtualized setups.
I’m now looking to move into software development full‑time and turn my passion into a living.

I’m a backend-focused engineer with deep experience building highly distributed, high-throughput stateful and stateless systems - millions of requests per second across thousands of machines in multiple datacenters. My strongest skillsets are around reliability, performance, and testing at scale: I’m an expert in CI/CD, software testing, and the guardrails that let teams move fast without breaking production. I'm a world-class level expert in end-to-end testing in massive distributed systems.
Technically, I’ve worked most with Golang and Javascript/Typescript, but also with Python, Java, and Lua professionally, and Lisp/Haskell for fun. I’d prefer to work in Go, but I’m open to any language I’ve touched or learning something new. If a technology has documentation, I’ll pick it up quickly; if not, I’ll dive into the source. I’m primarily a backend engineer, but I’m not a stranger to frontend work.
I spent just shy of 10 years at Uber (2014–2024), where I was a staff engineer working on some of Uber’s largest, most complex stateful services. Before that, I was at a startup from seed through Series B as engineer #1. I’ve operated comfortably in environments from early startup through large-scale enterprise.
What I’m looking for: I want to work at a company that is seriously embracing AI-assisted software engineering. From personal projects and experimentation, I’ve seen how AI tools feel like a team of fast, naive junior engineers. They need strong production engineering practices - reproducible build systems, tests, linting, typed languages, static analysis, structured logging, metrics, integration and end-to-end tests - to keep velocity from becoming fragility. My goal is to bring that discipline to teams so AI-assisted development produces robust, production-ready systems, not just rapid prototypes.
Here's a link to my recent portfolio experiment in building a very simple CRUD application, but with all the features I mentioned in the previous paragraph that enable velocity, linting, etc: https://github.com/andrewdeandrade/cc-explore
For the recruiters, you can take a look at the progress/ directory for AI summaries of 4-days worth of work in this repo.

Hi there! I'm Dylan Fitzgerald, a software engineer with a knack for bridging the gap between technology and team dynamics. With a technical background in Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and DevOps, I excel in elevating the quality of projects while fostering a harmonious team environment. My years of consulting across the industry give me perspective on what works—and doesn't—with teams and process. In particular, I thrive on turning the implicit into deliberate decisions.
I've mostly consulted over the last seven years or so, but am open to going in-house for the right fit. Going deep on Elixir or learning a new culture by getting out of the state for a while would be compelling. (I've lived and worked outside the US for years previously.) - Full-stack development with a focus on Ruby on Rails and Elixir ecosystems.
- Expert implementation of TDD (particularly RSpec) ensuring reliable, maintainable code.
- Process, communication, and goal refinement within your team.
- Making informed decisions for your team and tech stack.
- DevOps practices to streamline your deployment and infrastructure management.
- Well-versed in using agentic AI tooling (my daily driver is Claude Code these days), and happy to explore and demo how this can accelerate you and your team.
My training in Shape Up and cross-industry exposure helps me tailor strategies specific to your team’s dynamics. I thrive in collaborative settings, helping leadership and teams navigate through their challenges to achieve exemplary results.
Past engagements have seen me providing code review services to hundreds of developers (junior to CTO level), and driving process improvements that enhance team cohesion and project delivery.
Let’s explore how we can build great stuff together!

I'm passionate about distributed systems design, CQRS and event sourcing and a proponent of domain-driven design to ensure that solutions are laser-focused on solving real business problems. I'm an open source enthusiast and advocate using the best and most appropriate tools available, providing for an effective and pragmatic solution that delivers genuine and quantifiable business value.
Throughout my career I've helped numerous businesses of varying sizes in varying industries get their technology investment right and I can do the same for you.
Recent projects include:
+ Architected and executed a comprehensive overhaul of a core legacy system, migrating it to a robust microservices architecture. By strategically applying Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, and Event Sourcing, we enabled a prominent African FinTech company to seamlessly scale from 1 million to 10 million active users while achieving a remarkable 30%+ reduction in cloud expenses.
+ Successfully delivered an ambitious project to re-engineer a number of monolithic applications to cloud-native, event-driven distributed services for a leading hospitality software provider as part of a company-wide effort to modernise their entire software estate including training and mentoring staff on event-driven architecture and distributed system design.
+ Designed & delivered a large, global SaaS product to manage and automate music royalty collection and payment for one of the UK's largest and most demanding independent music publishers including full cloud geo-distribution & redundancy to ensure high availability & reliability for the worldwide client base.
+ Spearheaded the creation of a groundbreaking anti-motor fraud solution for a prominent UK law firm. This industry-leading platform combined a user-friendly web application, powerful API, and sophisticated data systems, including Europe's largest anti-fraud database, giving the firm an edge in fraud detection.

Backend engineer with experience building agentic and RAG systems. At my previous job, I architected and wrote the LLM platform code powering a suite of LLM-based workflows used by major law firms.
At my current job, I built an LLM-powered document generation system (generating trusts, wills, etc.) and an agentic system for onboarding new clients. I am most productive in Python, but we have been switching to Kotlin at work and I think it's great. I have also been learning Rust and employing it in a side project (generating static sites based off of Google Maps info, also using LLMs).
I have a JD from a top law school and spent time in biglaw, so am particularly suited for building legal tech or adjacent products.
I have spent my entire career at early-stage startups and have had the experience of building from scratch multiple times. No strong preference in terms of size of company, industry, etc. Mostly looking for people who are easy to work with at a company that is building something reasonably useful.
