Zuckerberg Squandered His AI Talent. Now He's Spending Billions to Replace It

I feel like Meta is successful in spite of Zuckerberg. Every venture they attempt besides advertising seems to fall flat. Buying other companies seems to be the only thing they're good at.

Ah, we have entered the "companies badmouth each other in media" stage of competition for investors. That is going to be fun.

Is there any actual journalism here or is it just 'Meta competitors make fun of Meta and I have nothing else to write about' ?

He recently got Daniel Gross, who co-founded Safe Super Intelligence with Ilya Sutskever and Daniel Levy. I wonder if AI safety and alignment is code for making sure these things don’t end up encouraging another Holocaust. We all saw what happened with Microsoft’s Tay and more recently xAI’s Grok.
