Most of the sources of this article are from CIA adjacent propaganda outlets. They should be discarded along with the article itself.

It’s all part of the Sinicization playbook, which is exactly what the CCP did in Tibet.

Where crazy is the recent social media propaganda now using influencers - sometimes ones from America or Europe - to pretend Xinjiang is a free society. They’ll walk around showing the village or whatever, which always is suspiciously free of older people. I wonder why.

There is no "forced" sinicization. Slavery-based theocracy has been replaced by a people's government in Tibet. In Xinjiang, terrorists and extremists are being reformed and offered good future prospects. Maybe Europe and America should learn from that?

Also, I remember reading an article about how Westerners HATE Muslims, and look down on the Chinese, but somehow they are very concerned about Chinese Muslims. Which I find to be interesting.

This is literally the misinformation pushed by the CCP. There was no slavery based society in Tibet. You’re repeating propaganda lines that demonize culture and religion to justify a communist takeover.

Also how can you call an authoritarian government that doesn’t value free speech a “people’s government”? Is forcing children into government education that severs them from their culture part of that people’s government?

> but somehow they are very concerned about Chinese Muslims

There is a contradiction there, as you say. But I disagree with describing people who’ve been effectively colonized by the state of China as “Chinese Muslims”.

Tibet was under a caste-based feodal system with serfdom. That might not strictly fit the definition of "slavery", though.

But then it also has to mean that there is obviously no "slave labour" in China today, either.

Everybody wins.

I'm not demonising their culture. It's like saying that if I tell people Nazi Germany was bad, I'm automatically spitting on Germany's culture.

Also, you'd be surprised that mamy Tibetans are very happy under democracy and don't want to see the return to pedo-monarchy, as so many westerners pretend.

Also I'm sorry but don't pretend we love freedom of speech in the West. Go to the UK and try saying "killing children is bad. I support Palestinian Action" and see how it goes for you.
