With 14 day nights, nuclear is attractive in the moon, but I think thermal storage (sand batteries, ‘geothermal’, etc.) is the most practically important. Dig in just 1 meter and you are seeing stable temperatures just below the freezing point of water which is quite stable. If Starship can be gotten to the moon I think the most practical plan is land 100 ton of cargo and just leave the vehicle there which means you turn the vehicle into habitat, storage tanks and raw steel —- there will be no shortage of storage tanks but maybe a shortage of volatiles to store in them.
