It should still terrify people. It's just like the PGP/1990s encryption wars. Imagine being held responsible for some open source, MIT licensed software you wrote three years ago because someone else might have used it for something illegal.

This case is entirely about the DOJ wanting to stop any anonymous transactions. Both the Biden and Trump governments want crypto THEY control.
