It's a silly distinction to make, but delta 8 and 9 THC are allowed to be sold so long as it comes from hemp, but not marijuana. It's the religious Prohibition folks who are over-representated in state legislature vs. open society folks who want government out of their porn, vapes, and other personal shit. (And Christian theology out of public schools.)
