Activeloop (YC S18) Is Hiring AI Search and Python Back End Engineers(Onsite,MV) (careers.activeloop.ai)

Cursor rocks as LLM agent, but sucks as IDE. To the point that its rough edges and mediocre UX sometimes outweigh or severely cap benefits that LLMs bring to the table.

Jetbrains family of IDEs is on the opposite side of the spectrum. For example, its copilot plugin half the time can't even nail the right line auto-complete in a complex codebase (java, js). Jetbrains own stuff is not even worth mentioning yet.

I wonder how you, seasoned jetbrains oriented developers working on medium to large codebases, solve this conundrum?

Any decent plugins that come close to Cursor?

How does it compare to the agent chat in cursor? I've been a fan of JetBrains for a long time, but I'm losing faith.
