I had a glance at the Rolling Stone article that this one gets it's content from and it's kind of luddite stuff like how can the stupid people running the trillion dollar companies think tech will progress like that when us brilliant media studies types who flunked science can't see it.

He is very confused, about Musk's Mars dream.
He seems to think that the dream is what has been publicly stated "a lifeboat for humanity".
An honest mistake.
Musk's Mars dream is obviously to own more stuff that can be owned on Earth. Private islands are for losers, private planets is the thing to aim for.
