I’m Kanika, and I started GoStudio.ai in Jan’25 from a tiny rented house in Chandigarh (tier-3 city in India). No funding. No team. No CS degree. Just one girl, one laptop, bad internet, and a lot of crying.
What it does: GoStudio.ai generates professional-looking AI headshots from selfies. For LinkedIn, resumes, bios — without needing a fancy DSLR, good lighting, or being in a big city. You upload 10-15 selfies. It gives you 60+ stunning, realistic portraits.
Why I built this: I was jobless after 2 unpaid internships. Sent 30+ resumes a day, no replies. Couldn’t relocate due to family. Companies said no to remote. One day, I noticed people judging based on profile photos. I had no money for a shoot, so I learned AI and built my own thing.
In 6 months, we’ve crossed ~$1500 MRR. All cold DMs. All organic. No ads.
