Inexperienced founders wanting to build a dating app is practically a meme. Alexandr Wang said as much in his recent interview on the Lightcone Podcast (it represents having “a very poor sense of Alpha” in his words).

We thought through the commonly cited reasons for why it’s a bad idea to build a dating app and how they apply to our app in this X post.

We decided it’s worth trying. Are we wrong?
