Sounds like a simple ozone generator to me. Since the pandemic these devices are very cheap too.

PlaDeo is a Korean startup product that uses reactive oxygen species (ROS) instead of aluminum or fragrances to eliminate odor. It recently launched on Indiegogo and is CE-certified. No chemicals, no residue—just a portable plasma-based solution. The technology was validated by a 2024 peer-reviewed study published in Nature's Scientific Reports.

SR is the slop tier of Nature (next to zero peer review). And it's telling they leave out any mention of ozone, which is what this is.

(IIRC ozone is more toxic than ... cyanide!!??)
