It's striking how the sports economic systems and the behavior of sports fans in the US are very generally the opposite of stereotypes of the US and Europe.

I don't know what stereotypes you speak of but I know of no stereotype that there would be more sport hooliganism in the US.

I think the US is seen as a generally more violent place, but they don't have the hooligan system with sports.

A lot of US sports leagues (not all) are highly structured as far as player unions and restrictions on payrolls go. A teams ability to simply outspend the competition is not available in many leagues. Meanwhile European soccer is generally less restricted.

Those weren't "sports fans" destroying Paris, they were migrants. French sports hooligans would be waving the flags of their football club or France, not the one of Palestine, Morocco, etc. The amount of effort MSM puts to paint migration troubles on sports holdings is crazy.
