Just wondering how much crypto and to which wallet payments must be made in order to cancel this latest threat.

He waves his magic twanger with each threat expecting concessions, submission, or tribute to cancel the threat.

There is no reasonable purpose in these tariffs, except for the game of Risk he’s playing to bolster his ego. Bigger than Zaphod Beeblebrox. And I typed that right the first time.

These national emergencies are getting flimsier and flimsier.

What does that even mean in the age of digital streaming and especially funding by American streaming platforms?

this is a questionable tactic imho. Although I have heard People say it's cheaper to fly an entire cast and crew to Ireland and film something and fly them back than it is to film in LA

TIL Trump thinks that movies are critical to national security. Yes, that corner of the entertainment industry is dying. But not because of production locations. Because streaming is evolving the business models and younger generations simply don't care about movies as much as older generations did. I'm no sociologist, but it would not surprise me if when Hollywood dies, most of the USA gives out a great big "meh."

I don't think Hollywood will die exactly, it will just go the way of other antiquated media. It will stay frozen in time like radio, books, theatre etc. It won't grow, but it won't die.

I will now have to pay more to watch good films.

This is going to look great as evidence in the lawsuits that claim Trump is abusing the IEEPA.

Sounds like another selling point for VPN providers.
