Hey there! I'm a software engineer based in Chicago with 11+ yoe working in consulting and startups. I've had a good amount of exposure and experience across the stack, working with devops heavy projects, microservices APIs, and frontend applications. Most recently I've been deep in the world of data cleansing/pipelining/analytics, but not sure if I want to continue that path or return to more traditional application systems development. I'm open to senior/lead eng roles at product shops or consulting shops. Would love to either work in an interesting tech stack or solve interesting domain problems. Would love to be in a role that's science/environment/medicine adjacent. Preference for teams with mature CI/CD and testing practices
I'm also the founder of JavaScript Today, which had around 10,000 monthly users at one point. I'm studying for CompTIA Sec+, and working my way through TryHackMe.
Proof is a digital trust platform. We do online notarizations, e-sign, KYC, identity network, PKI. Defend team is building advanced fraud detection and prevention service for use across the platform. Proof is a 10 year mid-size startup with solid history, collaborative culture, hundreds of customers and millions of users across all verticals.

I'm a developer who believes code isn't valuable unless it's used. That's why I start with conversations, not commits. I work to understand real problems before reaching for shiny new packages. I build tools that are simple, effective, and easy to adopt. My goal is always to solve the problem and make sure people know there’s a solution.
In my next role, I'm looking to work with a team that values clarity and impact. I'm especially interested in data heavy environments where thoughtful tooling can make workflows better.
Most recently, I built [Buckaroo](https://github.com/paddymul/buckaroo) an open source data table for Jupyter using Pandas/Polars. It combines fast rendering, summary stats, and a low-code UI. It scratches an itch I've had for over a decade and has already streamlined my own analysis workflow.

Hi, I'm Andrew Trettel. I'm a scientist with a PhD in mechanical engineering looking for any potential opportunities outside of academia and research labs. I have over a decade of experience in scientific research, especially on the numerical side. I have years of experience in writing software for and running large simulations on high-performance computing (HPC) systems. I have also developed software for non-scientific purposes, like creating user interfaces for desktop applications. I have years of experience working with large datasets, including the tasks of calculating statistics and developing hypotheses/models/theories from data. I've worn many hats over the years and love learning new and interesting topics.
I'd also be interested in (and good at) fractional / consulting work or team coaching.
I do my best work as a strong #2, supporting a leader that values ideas and feedback, whether in a management or IC role. (Working Geniuses: invention and enablement. Working Frustrations: galvanizing and tenacity)

I'm a computer science professor with a PhD looking to make a move back to industry. I've been enjoying the teaching and research I'm doing, but I'm interested in getting back to making products people actually use. I have significant database and systems experience including as one of the PMC members of Apache Calcite, an open source relational data management platform used by Uber, Netflix, and others.
I have 10+ years experience as a researcher (including as a grad student) and my lab, the Data Unity Lab at the Rochester Institute of Technology works on some cool stuff related to non-relational data management. I still find the time to write code both with my students and my own. Delivering high-quality code along with any work I publish is very important to me.
I'm interested in either senior software/data engineering or data science roles. The technology used is less important to me than an interesting product and a great team. I have a lot of experience picking up new tech quickly and I'm looking forward to using that in new ways.

I'm Zachary. I've been writing software for about 25 years, mostly with things around the Web though I have worked a bit with hardware and IoT. Notably I've worked at large tech companies like Google (itself, Fiber, and Checks) and Block/Square, as well as others like Opendoor and Cerner.
Lately I've been building TypeScript heavy full-stack stuff. I would consider myself a fullstack-capable engineer but have swung probably 60/40 in both directions at different times.
For the past 12 years I've specialized in improving the developer experience with effective and reliable CICD, Tooling, and Infrastructure.
I have experience building CICD build/test/deploy pipelines and developer environments from the ground up at multiple companies of all sizes, to the scale of hundreds of repositories and developers at a time, and have also transformed companies existing legacy CICD infrastructure. In my most recent role, I have also been getting involved in SRE type work, implementing monitoring and participating in oncall and incident responses.

Resume/CV: Link in bio

I've spent close to 10 years as a data analyst, 7 in the video games industry and 3 in public service. A large part of this has been data engineering work which I've found I tend to enjoy more than the analysis, so I am looking to make the transition into a fulltime data engineering role.
I have experience working in a big data environment (Hadoop+Spark) and in a smaller environment mostly with OracleDB.
I'm a data scientist and I'm looking for hard problems to solve. Hair on fire "This is causing lemon-law recalls and we can't solve it." type problems - I've done those a few times.
I love avant garde problems, and have a pretty unique toolset. I've worked with names you know in automotive, tech, and other spaces. Recently I've been working with Oil & Gas - Production estimates, pricing, and other interesting things.
I've worked on projects including LLMs, knowledge extraction, automotive part failure prediction, vehicle route planning in constrained environments, translation, maintenance optimization, automated sports highlights, maritime piracy, and more.
If you're unsure, get in touch. Referals welcome. Email in profile.
I'm a full stack Rails and React dev with 11-years of experience. Product focused, from wireframing and user stories I've helped companies through greenfield app development, rearchitecting existing apps, and maintaining legacy products.
In my free time I like making 3D-experiences and mapping GIS data.
Currently interning at a YC W25 startup Mosaic (usemosaic.ai) where I:
- Built the public API, our MCP server, and a video agent that turns longform content into shorts with auto captions and posts them
- Helped scale us to 100+ paying users in closed beta, 4k on the waitlist, and we're launching before my internship ends so you'll probably hear about us soon
Also built SHFLA (https://github.com/tetraslam/SHFLA), a fractal music language that won the MIT Media Lab hackathon, hit HN front page, and got me demo requests from Stephen Wolfram, David Sinclair, Joscha Bach, and Suno AI.
I move fast, write clean code, and deliver 10x what you pay me. I'm also very fun to hang around with and work with! Have several references who can vouch :)

Looking back, my work has spanned handheld IoT systems, backend automation, and DevOps — long before those terms became buzzwords. I’ve contributed directly to open source projects like the GNU toolchain, OpenOCD, and OpenEmbedded, and have been committed to open source for over 25 years. I prefer building tools and platforms that can be shared — but also know when pragmatism matters more than purity.
I don’t just write code. I solve problems with robust system designs that handle edge cases, deliver longevity, and ensure maintainability. My work reflects my strong tendency to prefer engineering over programming: solid tools, clear documentation, deterministic behavior, and measurable reliability.
I am looking for a staff-to-founder level role architecting and building a new embedded platform, ideally involving robotics, drones, 3D printing, or other articulated/mechatronic systems. More broadly, I am interested in early-stage products with real-world interfaces and low-level complexity.
Conversely, I’m not interested in JavaScript/Java/PHP/Ruby, Microsoft products or platforms, cloud-centric/"X-as-a-Service" infrastructure, fintech/crypto, "Web3", multinational corporations or government work.
Technologies: Python, JS/TS, C++, front end, back end, CI/CD, etc. all things application tech. Moderate level of knowledge in Ml Ops. Expert in design/figma/css.

I'm very truly a jack of all trades having done many different roles. Right now I'm looking for technical PM or design roles, but am open to other opportunities. I've worked on developer tools for much of my career, so I'm extremely comfortable working closely with engineers. That includes time working on .NET SDKs and Visual Studio while at Microsoft, as well as doing design work for DevOps tools.
Right now my preference would probably be for teams working on dev tools, but I'm also somewhat familiar with the veterinary industry and would be interested in doing something there. Remote roles only with the exception of roles local to Philadelphia or at companies based in New York where I can make an occasional trip up. I'm a US citizen but have also recently acquired Italian citizenship and am interested in working for an EU-based company, if remote hires are possible.
I've been really curious about how to use LLMs beyond the typical chatbot experience. I put together a small collection of experiments with funky UIs that leverage LLMs behind the scenes. Give them a try and let me know what you think!

I'm a full-stack dev with 3 years of experience building APIs, microservices, and React frontends. I’ve worked in environments with lots of red tape - Fortune 100 and financial orgs - and still delivered working software quickly and independently. Now I'm looking for a team that moves faster, tackles interesting problems, and genuinely enjoys building great products. If that's your company, I'd love to talk to you!
I'm very product/customer-focused and pragmatic. I like to move super fast (not only because of Cursor :D).
My dream environment is an early-stage, fully remote startup.

I'm a seasoned VP of Engineering / CTO; I've been an exec at startups ranging from pre-seed through Series D where I built a reputation for hiring stellar engineers and iterating on products quickly while maintaining quality, security, and morale. I moved from NYC to Oregon in the pandemic and love it here, so I'm hanging out a shingle as an advisor / coach to founders & CTOs.
I specialize in lubricating the critical surface between the dev organization and the rest of the business:
- for non-technical founders, I can help you better understand dev management and make good tradeoffs between throughput, quality, security, and team burnout
- for technical founders, I can help you get leverage (i.e. build a strong team) so you can step back from the code and focus on building your vision
- for CTOs, I can help you better understand and work with your CEO and the rest of the exec team: marketing, sales, ops, finance etc.
I bring the perspective of a curious outsider who asks lots of questions, and a strong toolkit for challenging assumptions and clarifying thinking. I absolutely love this work and regularly do it for free, so if you're curious, hit me up for a friendly chat.

Hello, my name is Jesse.
I'd describe myself as a competent generalist and a lifelong learner. I'm frequently working on something I've never done before.
My most recent professional experience has been about a year at a semiconductor startup where I wrote prototypes for a compiler and a cycle simulator.
One of my personal projects of ~10 years is a 3D game engine. Working on it has taught me a great deal about systems and graphics programming. It runs on Windows, Linux and Web (WASM/WebGL). I chose to build it without any libraries (barring the CRT for startup), which began as a learning exercise, but has taught me the value of simplicity.
I've also been working on a metaprogramming system for C & CPP. Think templates/constexpr, but significantly more ergonomic. It turns out I have a small passion for compilers. It currently generates many tens of thousands of lines of code for my game engine project including containers and an interactive realtime data visualization/editor.
On the optimization side of things, I recently wrote the world's fastest open-source AVX2 Perlin noise implementation, and wrote about the process on my blog. I beat the state-of-the-art by ~1.8x, which took me about two weeks.
That's the cliff-notes on my technical background. As a person I'm friendly and easy to get along with. I like the phrase "have strong opinions, weakly held". Outside of work I enjoy surfing, backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, rock-climbing and beer!
Cheers, Jesse

Résumé/CV: https://resume.geary.com and https://linkedin.geary.com or https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelgeary/details/experience/ for the full details
Email: mike@geary.com
Hi, I'm Michael Geary. I've programmed in many languages and environments over the years. Some of my current interests are:
• Aviation and geographic data. For example, airspace and obstacle data importers for Wing; election results and voter information maps for Google; many interactive maps for other companies.
• Hardware interfacing. In a way, I am a "full stack" developer, but my stack may involve a front end to a piece of hardware rather than the cloud. I first got into programming via ham radio, so RF hardware remains an interest.
• Designing and building APIs. Too often an API is designed by exposing the internals of whatever system provides the API. My philosophy is the opposite: start with the apps. I like to build a series of sample apps before starting on the API. This way I can imagine what API will make those apps and others like them easy to build.
• Talk with users! I don't like to sit in a back room cranking out code. I want to make sure it's the right code for what my users need, and that it's easy to maintain and improve as we learn more about what they want.
Open to full time or contract.
I look forward to talking with you!

Hi there! I'm Dylan Fitzgerald, a software engineer with a knack for bridging the gap between technology and team dynamics. With a technical background in Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and DevOps, I excel in elevating the quality of projects while fostering a harmonious team environment. My years of consulting across the industry give me perspective on what works—and doesn't—with teams and process. In particular, I thrive on turning the implicit into deliberate decisions.
I've mostly consulted over the last seven years or so, but am open to going in-house for the right fit. Going deep on Elixir or learning a new culture by getting out of the state for a while would be compelling. (I've lived and worked outside the US for years previously.)
- Full-stack development with a focus on Ruby on Rails and Elixir ecosystems.
- Expert implementation of TDD (particularly RSpec) ensuring reliable, maintainable code.
- Process, communication, and goal refinement within your team.
- Mking informed decisions for your team and tech stack.
- DevOps practices to streamline your deployment and infrastructure management.
- Well-versed in using agentic AI tooling (my daily driver is Claude Code these days), and happy to explore and demo how this can accelerate you and your team.
My training in Shape Up and cross-industry exposure helps me tailor strategies specific to your team’s dynamics. I thrive in collaborative settings, helping leadership and teams navigate through their challenges to achieve exemplary results.
Past engagements have seen me providing code review services to hundreds of developers (junior to CTO level), and driving process improvements that enhance team cohesion and project delivery.
Let’s explore how we can build great stuff together!

I’m looking to be challenged in a strong technical environment with other people who I can learn from, and I’m open to work on most interesting problems as long as they’re roughly net neutral or positive. I’m very hard-problem oriented, and am quite skilled at distilling complex, slow, brittle training procedures down to simple, performant, and hackable ones. The kinds of problems that engage me the most are ones where I can always be growing and learning, and that’s the kind of environment that I’ll thrive in. I’m certainly open to learning new subdomains (molecular, etc).
I tend to focus more on data/architecture/training dynamics than raw low-level kernel stuff, though the two tend to go hand-in-hand. I have a tendency to enjoy mentoring people, casual mentorship is something that I greatly enjoy. I am looking to learn working with larger-scale distributed runs, scale is something that I’d like to work with a bit more.
I’m keeping an eye open for a good opportunity that’s a good mutual fit for both sides, so I will approach most interview processes thoughtfully. If you think you have something that would be a good fit for us both – say hi!
