> Thankfully, the crash was extremely minor with the vehicle gently kissing a Toyota Camry parked on the side of the road.

> The Robotaxi tire touched another vehicle

FIRST ACCIDENT!!!11

This is insane.

You are being disingenuous. The nature of the accident matters:

"...See, a basic collision avoidance system should be able to spot a parked object. It's kind of the entire purpose of things like ultrasonic sensors, which Tesla opted to remove from its cars in favor of a vision-only based system in 2022. Perhaps the Camry was in a blind spot, or maybe the vision system just had a hiccup. Either way, this is a rookie-level mistake that makes it seem like the Robotaxis are swimming in the kiddie pool while Waymo is already doing laps around the deep end..."

There are a lot of rookies on the road. This is the kind of thing that human drivers do all the time.

My standard for self-driving cars isn't zero-accidents. It's fewer accidents than humans. That's actually a pretty low bar.

It's still not going to get me to buy a swastikar, or pay for one to drive me around. But I hope they, or somebody, manages to get human drivers off the road, because human drivers cause tens of thousands of deaths per year and should be banned.
