It should be borne in mind that the target of this polemic is the BBC. The actual facts of issues regarding aide distribution in Gaza are a casualty of war, the spectator could have chosen almost any vehicle to hang this story on.
I don't personally believe the GHF are either independent, or capable, but that isn't the point: The BBC of course should keep an open mind about it, and I find this kind of editorial intervention abhorrent. But, I also find the spectator a rag I wouldn't use to wipe my bum with, so there's a bit of a conflict in my heart.
