I had a lot of fun with this one. She's used it several times, and I watch, to see what subtle bugs or ux issues there may be.

And when she gets on the bus I fix them quickly before work.

It's been a fun game to create where it gives here immediate feedback and she's willing to study more.

Her test is this Friday. fingers crossed that it helped her!

Very cool, I'd recommend you randomize the voices/pitch/etc. on each word to give a broader challenge and add some variety. You could even add the "Can I hear it in a sentence?" or "Could I get the definition?" which are part of a normal spelling bee.

Related but about 10 years ago my little brother was struggling pretty hard with learning the multiplication tables, so I built a edutainment math game based off the magic carpet escape sequence in the old Aladdin game for the Sega Genesis. He played that game obsessively on my iPad and it really helped him. Never underestimate the power of personalized education!

Yes!!! These are great suggestions.

I was telling someone else how I missed the boat by not calling the app "Spelling Bee". :)
