I built a small desktop app called TakeoutTools that enriches your exported Google Maps Saved Places with useful location data.

When you export your saved places via Google Takeout, the files only includes place names and Google Maps URLs — no addresses or coordinates. This tool helps solve that gap.

The app automatically extracts address and coordinate data from each Google Maps URL — locally on your machine and lets you export it in multiple formats:

• CSV (for spreadsheets or databases) • GeoJSON (for QGIS, Mapbox, or custom maps) • JSON (for developers and scripting)
