This is neat, and I'll play with this later, but I'm immediately reminded of "infinite tic-tac-toe" - played on graph paper, nominally an infinite grid, where the play is identical to tic-tac-toe, but the objective is to get 5-in-a-row instead of 3-in-a-row.
