Those numbers are sadly an undercount.

So it is implied they (Gaza Health Ministry GHM) would be seeking to reduce the number of Hamas fighter deaths that are in the count.
Youth combatants ( aged below 18 year old ) would be included in Child count.
I saw a article that used demographics to question and analyze the count, Can not find it now.
On another note Ive noted Media outlets tend to publish articles supporting one side or the other.
It seems all? sides hate each other and want to kill all the other side(s)
It seems to me the situation going back decades will not allow fighting to stop
