Could aluminium become the packaging 'champion'?

The idea being to replace plastic bottles - which are both far less recyclable, and far less recycled.

No mention of replacing plastic bags, where aluminium is far less suitable. A minor upside - plastic bottles are generally far thicker than bags.

The obvious issue is mentioned:
