That proposal would allow the creation of groups more coherent and would foster participation

No way this would fly. A down vote would potentially server you off from so much discussion.
But I do strongly think something should be done to stigmatize or coax users against heavy use of down voting.
Users should not be able to suck karma from the system as effectively as adding karma to the system. I'm pretty convinced there's a handful of folks very dedicated to cancelling karma they don't like, and who spend lots of time & effort undoing the hope & joy others seek to spread.
That's gross. I'd like to see something to push towards the positive.

I was thinking about comments, that is someone that downvote one of your comments should, from that moment on, not be able to see any of your other comments. But the title of the post doesn't reflect my intention. I agree with you that those cancelling karma should no be able to expand here.

I disagree. Just because I downvote a post doesn't mean I want it to disappear. I may want to revisit the discussion at a later time, in which case I may want to review everything that's been said.

Read my other response, my intention was about whoever downvote a comment not a submission. So you would be able to see the rest of the discussion about any submission, I made a mistake omitting the comment restriction.

It would be somewhat moot given all they needed to do was open another browser and look at the discussion as a guest ...
