Historically in human societies, the ability for more experienced people to have visceral reactions to bad ideas has helped course-correct some bad ideas before they start, whether it’s by starting a discussion or sparking those effected into thoroughly thinking through their argument for a differing opinion.

I realized this morning that the problems with software engineering we’ve been having for the past fifteen years are due to societal intolerance of this.
