Started making notebooks too. Fitting three lines on wide-rule, two for college-rule.

Instead of a binder, stapling them 60 sheets at a time and then duct tape along the spine.

Benefits are not having to get notebooks, larger space to fit code listings, and makes it feel scrappy.
