No it won't, for one simple and old-fashioned reason: software companies aren't going to take on the legal liability. Period end. Full stop.
What's happening is doctors are already being "replaced", really augmented, by physician assistants. The physician assistants in turn will be using AI to help drive toward a diagnosis for which the doctor will have to assess and sign-off on.

I sure hope not. When I need medical care, I absolutely want a real doctor or nurse practitioner to provide it. I'm not sure what I'd do if that stops being an option.
