Actors seem to be unaware they need to do the hard thing and build a new legal framework to patent and/or trademark their voices and vocal features. They need to get working with some lawyers and go to the USPTO with them. Protesting will just delay the inevitable.
Politicians in the US don't usually like talking about AI, probably because they represent big tech first, and the people second. So with no real action from those in power, actors are forced to protest.

The SAG-AFTRA voice actor strike just ended this month, after 11 months:
Patents prevent unauthorized cloning.
Trademarks prevent a realisitc likeness.
