Overall this supports the general Theses of "The Dawn of Everything", while being more empirical and less idealogical.

essentially, inequality does correlate the the things you would expect, e.g.: hierarchy, population, external resources, autocracy. But... the variance swamps the correlation. There are lot of ways to organize society.
