Anecdotally what I have seen is that these (tech) companies are not hiring much in US and if they are hiring, its in offshore locations. So yes 2025 seems better in terms of fewer layoffs but it doesn't really help the overall situation in the US.

Are there alternate sources of this data, outside the BLS?
Second year in a row where they've had a nearly 900,000 person fix to the monthly data.
You would think with the error range supposed to be +/-126,000 that every now and again they would err on the upside more often, or try to fix the flaws in the establishment survey that lead us to this.
Sounds like things are doing better in 2025
