Show HN: Eintercon – A 48-hour social window to meet people worldwide

I’ve been building something I’ve always wished existed: a way to discover and connect with people across the world, but without the endless scroll or shallow matches.

Eintercon is a social app where you get paired with people globally, but each connection lasts only 48 hours. The idea is to give just enough time to have a meaningful exchange before you hop off to meet someone new. It’s not about collecting followers — it’s about sparking real conversations, learning about other cultures, and keeping things fresh.

A couple of things that make it different:

Global-first design: built to make cross-border connections effortless.

48-hour connection window: keeps the experience engaging, without endless ghost chats.

Mailing & Labs: you can also drop into themed chatrooms ("Labs") filled with people from diverse cultures, or send cross-border messages to test how connections spark.

Passport feature: answer light “visa-style” questions to connect intentionally with people from specific regions.

We’re live on iOS (testflight) and web. I’d love feedback on:

Does the 48-hour limit feel like a good balance between fleeting and meaningful?

Are there other cultural-exchange features you’d expect or want in something like this?

Does the name “Eintercon” work for you, or is it too clunky? (I’ve been getting mixed reactions).

I like the idea, but what if I realise after 48 hours I want to stay in touch with someone?

'Eintercon' has no meaning to be as an English speaker, except that the first part (ein) sounds vaguely Germanic. It does not seem a very memorable name or one I'd associate with a social network.
