I'm one of the makers of Keepmind — an AI tool that turns your learning materials into flashcards, quizzes, and summaries automatically. It's designed to help students, self-learners, and knowledge workers learn smarter and remember longer.

What it does:

Turn any text, notes, or web articles into smart flashcards

Auto-generate quizzes and spaced-repetition schedules

Share decks privately or publicly (with encryption + access control)

Track review progress and weak spots

We built Keepmind out of frustration with traditional tools like Anki or Quizlet, which are powerful but require a lot of manual effort to create and manage content. We wanted something that works more like a co-pilot — fast, flexible, and intuitive.

I’m one of the makers — we built Keepmind because we felt most learning tools are either too manual (like Anki) or too passive (like rereading notes). We wanted something that actually helps remember what you’ve read, and makes it super fast to create flashcards from your own materials.

Curious how others here approach learning + memory. Do you actively review your notes? What’s your system?

Hi HN, I’m the cofounder responsible for both frontend and backend development at Keepmind.

Building Keepmind was a challenging but rewarding journey — making sure the AI-generated flashcards load quickly, the spaced repetition scheduler runs smoothly, and the user interface stays intuitive took a lot of iteration.

We wanted to create a seamless experience where users can turn any notes or articles into quizzes without hassle, with fast sync and privacy controls baked in.

For those of you who have built or used learning tools, I’d be curious what technical challenges or features you think are most important — performance, UI/UX, data privacy, or something else?
