I'm sure some make-a-buck-quick types will try and convince prospective markets that A.I. is the latest unicorn poop and they've got all their answers ... despite the same fundamental issues going on presently. Will A.I. get any more info out of banner type sites than regular searches - no. Will A.I. be able to draw instead on reviews from review sites ... people generally do not review things they bought retail from a bricks and mortar store and most online sites the reviews are gamed a bit, so one might have rocks in their head to trust that sort of information, A.I. though doesn't care.

A.I. will eventually start to make inroads - for one as a powerful search filter. I look forward to the day I can search for x I want to buy locally at a store - and remove every online only instance - of course for the moment I have to settle for crude things like foo bar -site:bunnings.com to avoid the online only BS results that flood out real results. Sadly they're not the only brick and mortar idiots doing that sort of BS in Australia though.
