Wow, 20% of manufacturing employees across the whole business, too?

Given the lack of progress on intel's core CPU offerings, I'm not surprised. I recently used a 2017 8700K while my 2025 PC was in for repair and there was no noticeable difference between them. Nearly a decade and many days I forgot I was on the old machine!

I believe an intel fab in the US was making 486 series processors still until mid-pandemic for industrial and automotive use.
